Also, (Z)-11-Hexadecenyl Acetate ((Z)-11-HDA), the major sex pheromone of Fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) and Diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella) is produced from 11-hexadecyn-1-ol.
